We are Martijn and Bernadette, both Dutch, loving life, nature and Zululand. After travelling around and living on two continents we ended up at this perfect spot. We are passionate about living and building off-grid, sustainable and responsible. Although we have not completely finished building our earth-bag house, we do live in it and love the feel of it. We enjoy living in the middle of nature and having wild animals around us every day. It is great advantage to be able to share a piece of heaven with like-minded people that love being in the outdoors and enjoy an adventure and simple accommodation.

Our earth bag house is truly a unique place, build out of natural materials and completely off grid. The mudhouse turned out to be a pioneering project that has no equal in Northern KwaZulu Natal.

The hut and the hut 2.0 give us the opportunity to share the extraordinary place we call home. With endless views over protected nature reserves, as fas as the eye can see.
